NOAA is hosting a public event celebrating our Oceans during the IUCN World Conservation Congress. The event will provide an opportunity for the public to learn about Hawai`i’s humpback whales and endangered monk seals, the 2016/2017 Year of the Whale (a declaration being celebrated by the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme), U.S. Marine National Monuments and the U.S. National Marine Sanctuaries.
